"I grew up hiking, running, and riding horses in Bucks County, PA and over my first 25 years saw the slow destruction of the farms and woodlands that were part of my heart. It has been my life's goal to work for the preservation of open space and I am very lucky to work for the Pinelands Preservation Alliance to ensure this last great open space on the eastern seaboard between Maine and Georgia remains a natural resource for all to enjoy."

“There is so much natural beauty, right in our own backyards... I came here because I believe in the work that Hackensack Riverkeeper is doing to preserve, protect and restore the entire Hackensack River and watershed -through education programs, advocacy work, tackling polluters and hands-on work such as river cleanups. It’s important to me to help preserve the natural space and resources we have so that they can continue to be here for all to enjoy”
Diane had a 25- year career in International Transportation before she was able to turn her passion for the environment into a full time occupation. A natural outgrowth of her interests in outdoor activities was a desire to help protect our natural resources. Like many local individuals, she was frustrated by the decline of open space and wildlife in our area and the increases in pollution. Diane began working with Hackensack Riverkeeper as a volunteer several years ago, participating in cleanups, joining them on Eco-Walks, and assisting the Riverkeeper at various events. In 2006 she was able to make her dream of working in the conservation community a reality when she was hired as Development Director by Hackensack Riverkeeper. Diane currently serves as the Secretary of the Executive Committee of Earth Share New Jersey.
